Kin Legacy Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 10, 2026. Kin Legacy is operated by Arkmation Pte. Ltd. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when Family Trees use Kin Legacy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account and sign-in data such as phone number and authentication status.
- Family Tree data such as members, relationships, labels, invites, and memberships.
- Profile data such as names, photos, contact details, dates, and optional family notes.
- Task and planning data such as plans, routines, checklists, notes, and due dates.
- Communication data such as call metadata, wish generation activity, and shared messages where enabled.
- Technical data such as device, browser, app version, diagnostics, and security events.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide sign-in, invite linking, tree access, and member profile features.
- Keep Family Tree membership scoped to the correct members.
- Support tasks, plans, calls, family wishes, reminders, and app reliability.
- Protect accounts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Permissions
Kin Legacy may request permissions only when a feature needs them, such as camera and microphone for calls, photos for profile images, contacts for optional import, and notifications for reminders or call alerts.
4. Sharing
Family data may be visible to other members of the same Family Tree based on membership and access rules. We may also share data with service providers that support hosting, authentication, messaging, storage, and communication infrastructure. We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
We keep data for as long as needed to provide Kin Legacy, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Family Tree admins may request account or data support through the contact channel below.
6. Security
We use authenticated access, transport encryption, and platform controls to protect data. No system can be guaranteed fully secure, but we design Kin Legacy around explicit access and family boundaries.
7. Children
Kin Legacy is intended for family use under the supervision of responsible adults where required by applicable law.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as Kin Legacy evolves. The latest policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
